Our Baseball/Softball Academy will help you achieve these goals so you can make the team next season.
Our academy offers students an opportunity to participate in a high school course that is more specific than a regular Physical Education class.
We are looking for novice to elite-level student-athletes to come and join us! This course is based on student interest.
Our Program
• Is based on proven methods effective in creating greater athleticism.
• Will help improve your catching, pitching and hitting skills, while improving your game play.
• Will educate you on how to train effectively, minimize injury and maximize your overall fitness.
• Involves a block a day of instruction, focusing on skill development, nutrition, specific sports training.
Meet the Academy Lead Instructor
Jason Chatwood grew up playing Minor Baseball in Innisfail and Red Deer. He was a member of the 2003 Team Alberta U-16 Western Canada Summer Games (Silver) and U-17 Canada Cup (Silver).
• 2004 Team Alberta Canada Cup (Silver) and went to Team Canada/MLB Top Prospects camp in Montreal.
• 2005 Member of Team Alberta at the Canada Summer Games (Bronze).
• Attended Colby Community College 2006/2007. (Holds the single season hits record and the career hits record at Colby Community College)
• 2006-2007 2nd Team All -Jayhawk Conference Second Baseman
• 2007 Unanimous All- Jayhawk Conference Second Baseman, Unanimous All- Region IV Second Baseman, Region IV Gold Glove Winner, 3rd Team All- American and Academic All- American
• Current coach of the Sylvan Lake Gulls

Scott Murray is a Red Deer Minor Baseball graduate 1978-1988.
